– 2008 Public institutions in SEPA context
– 2010 Streamlining the financial supply chain ecosystem
– 2011 Financial interoperability and open source
For Osaka, we’re preparing something based on the results of the first FINkers United event held in May, earlier this year, an unconferenced event which unveiled that there’s nothing special about payments anymore, that these need to be treated as the commodity that they’ve become and that financial institutions need to align themselves to this trend before losing the train.
If everyone’s already connected by the technology they own, then why not use it as a financial inclusion tool? Financial inclusion is not only about poverty, but about cash, lots of relatively small amounts of cash that get distributed daily in the form of taxes, pensions, commissions, donations and so on.
These two concepts, of agility and financial inclusion, will be debated by an elite panel moderated by Ms. Rodica Tuchila (Director of the Romanian Banking Association):
Nicolae Brova, Chief Information Officer Société Générale Private Banking, Japan
Radu Ghetea, President CEC Bank, Romania
Ioana Guiman (@IoanaGuiman), Product Manager Allevo, Romania
Mircea Mihaescu (@MirceaMihaescu), Director Technology Research Center Sberbank , Russia
Arthur Pereira, CEO Descontel, Portugal
