We’ve been honored by the presence of our SWIFT Country Manager and the ANEIR’s Counselor (Romanian Exporters and Importers National Association).

The presentations delivered by our business analysts and by the Senior Account Director from SWIFT on these themes were the starting point of interesting discussions.

Related to Trade Finance, financial specialists may see it as a provision of capital for trade transactions, IT specialists see it as support services to automate the processing, risk officers as a threat to be contained while handling the transactions and the related payment. So, let’s meet and talk over these perspectives.
Even more, we’ll link it to Cash and Liquidity Management, the company’s liquidity reporting in the most efficient manner. Our product qPayIntegrator, by its dedicated module, may be applied here to best advantage. You might have read about this module on our website: qPI-ML, the liquidity reporting feature that ensures the relevant messages’ data reporting to provide the real-time cash reports and forecasts. This is not all about in our next

BIS Solutions Users Group 16th edition

News to be forwarded to our readers as we have a new success story to tell…

We are midway between celebrating the launching five years ago of the real-time gross and, respectively, the low value payments settlement system – ReGIS and SENT, the two major domestic payments related pillars of the Romanian EPS.

It’s about an essential market infrastructure for a competitive business environment – the Electronic Payments System within the national market, or, simply put, the semi-automatic processing to STP of the transactions related to the final settlement of domestic payment. The system was successfully launched five years ago by the National Bank of Romania (NBR), in close cooperation with TransFonD, the Ministry of Public Finance and the Romanian banking community.

The electronic straight through processing of inter-bank payments, either in real time (for the gross settlement) or same day final settlement for the low value payments, led to an European competitive funds transfer mechanism and significantly smaller fees for the settlement services. So the main result goes to the business community and tends to align its competitiveness with the EU landscape, at least at financial infrastructure level.
Business Information Systems is proud that, through its partnering customers – accounting for a significant share of the Romanian market, directly contributed to the stability and security of the National EPS.
By being involved, BIS is part of the success announced by the NBR.

We really came a long way with our User Group meetings since the 1st Edition in November 2004

We’re joining this Spring for a new meeting, the 16th Edition in April 2010

Meeting locations changed from several conference rooms of main Bucharest Hotels, to picturesque mountain landscapes in Brasov County (Poiana Marului-Zarnesti, Predeal) or southern plains landscapes (Snagov Lake, near Bucharest). Beyond their professional usefulness, these trips helped us to continuously develop our special community, in a friendly atmosphere.

The Scope is to inform about updates and developments plans, analyze and listen to our customers’ experiences in using our applications, welcoming their proposals to better functioning of the delivered solutions, as well as to propose them new perspectives by sharing other complementary ISV solutions.

The Members of the Users Group are key representatives of the Romanian financial institutions – main BIS customers, users of BIS’ solutions. The core of the group remained the same in over five years of meetings, the interpersonal relations providing in time a specific group-feature to all its members.

The Agenda always covered the usage report on our products since the previous users group, followed by presentations and updates on standards, patches, regional regulation, BIS development plans, news, all in the financial industry, as well as impressions we came with from the events we participated as a sponsor, as an exhibitor (like EBADay, Romanian Finance Symposium and Sibos). We always announced the forthcoming events, themes to be discussed and our availability to any related subjects of interest for the invitees.

The Special Guests from SWIFT, from the Romanian Banking Association, TransFonD, the National Bank of Romania and partner solution providers acting in the European market, have attended our gatherings.

The New Location that we have lately, being advantageously positioned, hosted the meetings in our Conference Room, on the 7th floor of our office building. The weather, a friend in need and a friend indeed, allowed us to invite our guests on the terrace to have a coffee break or a quick lunch. This spring too, we have a good Users Group day. Find yourself in today’s photos, the one here, a few more on our website!
