Innovation and quality in the public sector

The State Treasury of the Romanian Ministry of Public Finance was awarded the First Prize within the conference “Innovation and Quality in the Public Sector”, 2nd edition, October 2009

 

The State Treasury of the Romanian Ministry of Public Finance has been awarded by the ANAF and the ‘APDD Agenda 21’ the for the The State Treasury Electronic Payments System project developed in partnership with Business Information Systems.

Business Information Systems contribution to the success of this project relies on the implementation of its qPayIntegrator suite, a SWIFTReady SEPA application.

The conference and its awards are part of the PHARE 2006 programme concerning the Improvement of the Civil Society’s Role in Romania’s Integration Process, Pillar 1 – “Efficiency of the public services through innovative methods”.

The State Treasury GM’s Presentation (RO)


Today we’ve hosted our 15th user group at our headquarters, in the special conference room. Our guests were key representatives of the Romanian financial institutions, users of BIS solutions and a Romanian Banks Association’s member.

The agenda covered a SLA performance report on our products within the last 4 months ( since the previous user group ), followed by comments on patches released for industry standards, regional regulation and third parties’ applications latest versions alignment, then a short preview of our experience at Sibos Hong Kong & a series of questions raised by our quality system director.

After a short break, our business analysts, Cristina & Corina, presented &  ran demos of some of our solutions over qPayIntegrator: SEPA, WR, Lite.

We’ve also announced the two forthcoming events, namely the Romanian Finance Symposium “Optimizing Liquidity and Cash Management”, sponsored by BIS and organized in Bucharest, at Marriott Grand Hotel, on 3-4 Nov 2009, and the post-Symposium Workshop held at our office on 5 Nov 2009. The first event will feature NBR management, commercial banks, while the other will bring together banks & corporates. Special guest star in all three days will be Stephan Kraft, SWIFT Senior Account Director CEE, who will speak on “Measures to reduce float costs for national and international payments”.

To end this event with a smile on everybody’s faces, we invited all our guests outside, on the terrace to have a quick lunch before heading back at their offices.
